Lowrance Fishfinder GPS Navigation System
Article by Shawn Parker
The Lowrance Fishfinder GPS Navigation System is the next generation of high-definition, high-speed, affordable all-in-one display systems from the company that pioneered consumer marine electronics. The new system is NMEA compliant and boasts Sirius Satellite Weather, offering boaters the capabilities of a fully-integrated RADAR and weather station package that eliminates any nasty surprises offshore. In addition to the weather functionality, the unit is also a satellite tuner for over 120 channels of Sirius satellite radio. Who says you have to miss college or NFL football games, or even NASCAR, while you're out fishing? A simple 3.5 mm jack interfaces this system with your onboard stereo!
The Lowrance Fishfinder GPS Navigation System is quick and easy to install. The in-hull transducer eliminates the need for a haul-out, and you don't have to poke holes in your boat. The built-in high-sensitivity 16-channel GPS+WAAS antenna eliminates the need to mount an external antenna and run more wire through the boat. For below-deck installation, an external antenna is still an available option, however. The display can either be flush mounted or bracket mounted, depending on helm space and your personal preference. The display itself is high-resolution, easy to use, and bright enough to overcome the most demanding daylight conditions with perfect clarity.
The Lowrance Fishfinder GPS Navigation System uses the award-winning Broadband Sounder technology to deliver the maximum number of targets to the high-definition, low-noise full color display. Whether you're fishing the flats or the canyons, this means more fish in the boat. The integrated GPS chartplotter works with all current Navionics chart cards, including the Platinum series, which delivers high-definition 3D charting options straight to your helm. Not only is this unit one of the most powerful on the market, it is also one of the most affordable. As if that weren't enough, it comes with a two-year limited warranty to give you peace of mind off the water as well!
